Match Box Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our client: a well-established contractor based in Delta, British Columbia with 30+ years of experience in site preparation, ground improvement, and foundation systems. Their portfolio includes 500+ completed projects across North America serving residential, commercial, industrial, and civil markets throughout Western Canada.

This role offers direct exposure to high‑impact civil and earthworks projects with clear progression into Project Management. You will work with strong field leadership, top developers, and client stakeholders in an environment that rewards ownership, autonomy, and long‑term career growth.
Responsibilities- Support project setup including scope review, baseline schedules, and mobilization planning
- Maintain documentation: plans, permits, submittals, quality and construction logs
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews for timely execution
- Attend site meetings and document decisions, actions, and progress
- Track material deliveries, heavy equipment logistics, and internal crew planning
- Maintain project logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and correspondence
- Track budget versus actuals on assigned cost codes
- Support forecasting and cost reviews with the Project Manager
- Support compliance documentation for safety plans, quality protocols, and regulations
- Ensure safety and quality items are logged, resolved, and closed in systems
- Prepare meeting minutes, action lists, and project status updates
- Maintain professional communication with engineers, owners, and GCs on routine coordination items
- 1–3 years in construction coordination or project support (heavy civil or site works preferred)
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or related
- Ability to read and interpret drawings with an engineering or technical education advantage
- Familiarity with cost and schedule tracking tools such as Excel, shared drives, and project software
- Exposure to earthworks, compaction, piling, and civil infrastructure is an asset
- Strong communication and client interaction skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of deliverables
- CSTS and First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
