Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals is looking for an outstanding Customer Service Representative for our client in Delta, BC in the food distribution industry. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Customer Service Manager.
Responsibilities- Communicate with customers by phone, in person, and through e-mail to ensure the best service possible
- Answer customer questions regarding products, service, operation, or maintenance
- Interview clients to get information and explain services
- Process inbound customer orders accurately following established guidelines
- Solicit or provide information as required to accurately complete customer orders, returns, shipments, and requests for product pricing and availability
- Review data to determine if orders have been numbered, coded, and processed accurately before release to ensure successful shipment
- Process proof of delivery for products or services, track customer orders, and research missing or late deliveries
- Review data to determine if billing, accounting, and tax postings are accurate
- Initiate corrections for processing errors
- Refer complaints concerning service or product failure to appropriate departments for investigation
- Coordinate customer service needs with other departments to ensure service delivery
- Engage in troubleshooting activities and escalates issues that impact the full-cycle order fulfillment process
- Issue return authorization numbers per approved customer requests; track and update receipts; dispute pricing or quantity errors; maintain approved return items list for customers
- Receive and process orders for products or merchandise by mail, phone, or in person
- Assist in providing documentation to dispute logistics claims and recover costs from responsible parties
- Apply trend data to drive process improvement and avoid future charge‑backs
- Create and maintain Vendor set‑ups
- Create and maintain SKU set‑ups
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Exceptional phone mannerism
- Meticulous and accurate work style
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Sage Enterprise software preferred but not required
- Food distribution experience could be an asset but not required
Shift: Monday – Friday
Hours:
9am to 5pm
Pay Rate: $23.65 to $25.15 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, vacation, and a 4% RRSP Plan.
