Be part of Tri-Cities Public Health in Port Moody, BC, as a full-time Community Dental Health Assistant. This role emphasizes health education and dental screenings for children and families.
In this Administrative Clerk position, you will educate various groups about dental health, conduct essential screenings, and assist with administrative tasks. Your experience as a Certified Dental Assistant is crucial for ensuring adherence to BC’s clinical practices and promoting community health. You will work closely with schools, parents, and other health professionals to improve access to dental care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver engaging dental health education sessions
• Perform dental screenings in adherence to standardized protocols
• Maintain accurate records of screenings and advocacy efforts
• Prepare materials and monitor dental supply inventories
• Participate in program meetings with proposals for improvement
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma and Certified Dental Assistant qualification
• 1 year of recent dental health experience
• Registered with the Dental Surgeons of BC
• Valid BC Driver's License for transportation
• Effective leadership and classroom management skills
