Dental Therapist in Beaufort

Make a difference in children's lives as a Dental Therapist in the Beaufort-Delta region. This role focuses on providing clinical intra-oral care and community health education in schools.

As a Dental Therapist, you will work independently in schools, delivering restorative and preventative dental treatments to students from Kindergarten to grade 12. You will also create and implement oral health promotion activities in collaboration with Community Health Nurses and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, your role involves referring patients for specialized care when necessary, ensuring comprehensive health service delivery in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide intra-oral restorative and preventative treatments to school children

• Develop community-based oral health promotion and education programs

• Create promotional material for dental health initiatives

• Refer patients to Dentists or other health care providers as needed

• Offer guidance to healthcare professionals on oral health care delivery

Requirements:

• Diploma in Dental Therapy

• Licensed Dental Therapist with NWT Professional Registrar

• Ability to travel to various communities for service delivery

• Strong communication skills for community education

• Experience in collaborative healthcare settings
