Job Overview
Year-long locum for a collaborative maternity practice of midwives and family doctors serving a diverse population. Starting as soon as possible, with a strong possibility of continued work.
Responsibilities- Perform 12‑hour call shifts.
- Occasional 24‑hour call shifts.
- Clinic shifts.
- Assist with hospital assessments and deliveries in partnership with nursing staff and other consultants.
- Comfort working in rural areas; ability to transfer high‑risk clients such as preterm labours to tertiary centres.
- Strong commitment to communication and teamwork.
- Ability to quickly connect and build rapport with clientele.
- Located in Comox Valley, British Columbia.
- Privileges at North Island Hospital, Comox Valley – nine private labour‑delivery‑postpartum suites.
- Supportive team environment with collaborative partners.
