As part of the district's Executive team, you will spearhead initiatives that advocate for the needs of Indigenous students while focusing on academic, cultural, and emotional well-being. Your collaboration with First Nations communities and education councils will be essential in developing frameworks that address educational disparities. You will oversee key initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of equity and accountability within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advance strategic leadership for Indigenous Education across the district
• Collaborate on the development of Local Education Agreements
• Create structures for inclusive professional development
• Support budget monitoring and financial accountability
• Report on Indigenous student data management
Requirements:
• Preference for candidates with Indigenous Ancestry
• Master's degree in Education with Teaching Certification in BC
• Proven success in leadership within educational contexts
• Comprehensive understanding of Indigenous community needs
• Effective advocacy and relationship-building skills
Contribute to meaningful change as you guide educational equity for Indigenous students.
