Secondary Counsellor Schools

As a Secondary Counsellor, you’ll be integral in supporting students who cannot attend their home school, focusing on academic engagement and skill development. This role emphasizes personal growth through counseling, as well as addressing barriers to achievement using a universal design framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain connections with students during absences

• Support academic progress from home school

• Facilitate skill building for personal challenges

• Offer counseling to students and families

• Collaborate with learning services and agencies

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in counselling

• Experience in elementary or secondary education

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices

• Skill in developing Individual Education Plans

• CPI training is an asset
