Position Overview
Job Title: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: $27-$28 per hour

Job Duties:
- Plan, implement, and oversee programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the safety and well‑being of all children in your care.
- Design and lead age‑appropriate activities and lessons that align with the ELFi GPS education system.
- Observe children’s progress, document their learning, and communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development.
- Assist children with daily routines such as eating, dressing, and toileting.
- Foster positive interactions and encourage cooperative play among children.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and implement new educational initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and management.
- Stay updated on ECE best practices and current childcare regulations in BC.
Qualifications:
- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate or License to Practice in BC.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a daycare or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development and age‑appropriate programming.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
