Part-Time Educational Assistant at Southpointe

Become a key member of Southpointe Academy as a part-time Educational Assistant supporting students with behavioral needs. Help enhance student independence and engagement in a dynamic learning environment.

In this role, you will assist in creating inclusive educational experiences for students with diverse learning challenges, including those with communication and behavioral problems. Working alongside teachers and support staff, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing individualized learning strategies that promote both academic achievement and personal growth within an IB curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs

• Reinforce concepts introduced by teachers in various settings

• Support behavior management strategies tailored to student needs

• Maintain regular communication with educational staff

• Observe and document student performance and progress

Requirements:

• Completion of an Educational Assistant program preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability in behavior management techniques

• Experience working with students facing learning challenges

• Ability to perform duties independently or as part of a team
