Position: Educational Assistant for Diverse Learners
Support educational growth at Southpointe Academy as an Educational Assistant focusing on behavioral needs. This part-time role emphasizes individualized support in the 2026-27 school year.

You will aid teachers in creating inclusive environments for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other unique learning requirements. Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to reinforce learning concepts and implement effective behavior management strategies tailored to each student’s needs. Your contributions will be pivotal in fostering student agency and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with learning and communication challenges

• Collaborate with teachers in curriculum adaptation

• Assist in the development of individualized learning plans

• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records

• Ensure student supervision during activities

Requirements:

• Completed post-secondary Educational Assistant program or ABA training

• Proven experience with behavior management strategies

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work both independently and in a team

• Knowledge of safe work practices applicable to the role
