Behavioural Support Educational Assistant

Become a vital part of Southpointe Academy as a Behavioural Support Educational Assistant, specializing in behavioral and communication support. This part-time role is focused on the 2026-27 school year.

You will engage with students requiring specialized support by implementing evidence-based strategies that promote academic and social development. Working closely with teachers and families, your role will help foster a positive and inclusive educational experience aligned with the International Baccalaureate ethos. Contribute actively to a collaborative educational team dedicated to enhancing student independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support for students with learning disabilities

• Assist in planning behavioral programs tailored to students

• Reinforce academic concepts in coordination with teachers

• Communicate regularly with educational teams on progress

• Supervise students during various school activities

Requirements:

• Successful completion of an Educational Assistant or ABA program

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibility in adapting to student behaviors

• Experience in implementing behavior management techniques

• Ability to operate diverse educational equipment
