Temporary Grade 2 Teacher - South

Join Southpointe Academy as a Temporary Grade 2 Teacher for the  school year. This full-time position focuses on inquiry-based learning and building meaningful relationships in a diverse classroom setting.

As a coeducational International Baccalaureate school, Southpointe Academy is looking for a dedicated teacher to enhance student engagement and foster learning for Grades K-5. The classroom will be a hub for innovative instructional practices that benefit all learners, starting on November 1, 2026.

• Collaborate on inquiry-based educational programming

• Establish a caring and respectful environment

• Utilize age-appropriate technology for enhanced learning

• Develop engaging and meaningful lesson plans

• Conduct authentic assessments to support student growth

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent

• BC Ministry of Education qualification necessary

• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience or PYP experience

• Valid First-Aid certification

• Enthusiasm for student learning and community participation
