English and Special Education Teacher

As part of Delta School District, you’ll teach English 9, Social Studies, and Business 9 while utilizing innovative curricula to enhance student engagement. The District values diversity and aims to provide a supportive atmosphere where all learners thrive, spanning over 31 schools.

Your role will also include teaching Special Education Recovery to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate English 9 classroom discussions and activities

• Teach Social Studies in both semesters

• Guide Business 9 students through course content

• Implement Third quest Numeracy strategies during Block C

• Support students in Special Education Recovery

Requirements:

• Relevant teaching experience in English and Special Education

• Certification to teach in British Columbia

• Passion for inclusive educational practices

• Strong interpersonal and mentorship abilities

• Commitment to student-centered teaching
