School Psychologist

This is an itinerant position.

Term Specific to January 8, 2027, or return of incumbent.

The School Psychologist is responsible to the District Principal of Learning Services - Special Programs. For more information about this position, please contact Satnam Chahal, District Principal of Learning Services at  or e-mail .

The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Responsibility of assessing school-aged children.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with school-based teams, teachers, education assistants and administrators.
  • The ability to assist with the development of Individual Education Plans.
  • The ability to write psycho-education reports for school teams and report results to parents.
  • Ability to complete a variety of behaviour assessments and report to a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Membership in the Association of BC School Psychologists (College of Psychologists).
  • School-based experience.
  • Extensive experience in performing psycho-educational assessments for a full range of students.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • Extensive experience assessing students with learning and behaviour challenges.
  • Eligibility for BC College of Teachers preferred.
  • A master’s degree in School Psychology.

Salary is based on TQS category and years of experience, ranging from $69,147 - $116,190 per year.
