Beaufort Inclusive Education Leader

Become the Regional Inclusive Schooling Coordinator with BDDEC and drive the vision for inclusive education throughout the region. Focus on creating equitable opportunities for every student, ensuring they thrive.

In this leadership role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including educators and community partners. Your responsibilities will include implementing individualized education plans while promoting trauma-informed and culturally relevant approaches. You'll be at the forefront of creating inclusive systems that honor Indigenous knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement inclusive education strategies in schools

• Coach and support school teams on best practices

• Liaise with agencies for integrated student support

• Offer training on inclusive educational practices

• Develop policies and programs to enhance inclusivity

Requirements:

• Eligibility for NWT Professional Teaching Certificate

• Bachelor of Education;
Master’s preferred

• At least 5 years in teaching and inclusive education

• Knowledge of IEP development and culturally pertinent practices

• Strong collaboration and leadership skills
