Responsibilities- Meet the qualifications and perform all duties of an LNG Operator 3.
- Operate, maintain, and perform duties safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Respond to emergencies and plant process upsets.
- Work with minimal supervision, as a team member with other employees and contractors, and make decisions as required to achieve and maintain optimum plant operations.
- Load LNG containers as required.
- Perform shunting and staging activities as required.
- Liaise with Logistics for communication regarding loading or unloading requirements.
- Receive, unload, inspect, record, store, issue, load, and ship equipment and materials as required or assigned.
- Perform basic maintenance and other duties as directed.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- A valid British Columbia Class ‘1’ driver’s license, with a provided driver’s abstract for the purpose of shunting at Tilbury LNG Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate conditions and make decisions to achieve optimum plant operation, particularly under critical and stressful circumstances.
- Demonstrated mechanical understanding to ensure the safe operation of plant equipment at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in both verbal and written form and to maintain neat, accurate records and detailed logs of plant operation.
- Demonstrated ability to be cooperative and meticulous.
- Must have demonstrated safe work habits and adherence to safety regulations and practices consistently.
- Must be in good physical condition and able to climb ladders and work at heights beyond 3 meters.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must be prepared to work rotating schedules and shift work.
- All successful candidates will complete pre-employment verification, including drug testing, physical assessment, reference checks, and a criminal record check. Proof of qualifications and a recent driver’s abstract (BC Class 1 equivalent) is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Fourth Class Power Engineering certification.
- Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, 7 days on, 7 days off, alternating days and nights.
- All successful applicants must obtain Occupation First Aid 1 within 6 months of hire.

- This role may have overtime requirements based on operational needs.
- This position requires the employee to be clean-shaven as per WCB standards.
