As a Component Apprentice, your main focus will be on learning essential tasks including disassembly, assembly, and testing of aeronautical components.
Your role requires you to implement work plans, use measurement tools, and accurately report any defects. You'll also be fundamental in verifying work accuracy and generating necessary repair documents under expert guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Disassemble and inspect gas turbine engine components
• Use measuring tools to identify defects
• Certify the accuracy of work and conduct inspections
• Prepare repair documents and manage parts orders
• Support engineers in testing and assembly activities
Requirements:
• Certification from an AME or GTE course
• Mechanical aptitude with technical engine knowledge
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Organizational skills to support multiple tasks
• Understanding of maintenance manuals and inspection processes
