Lead vessel maintenance and engineering for the Seaspan Ferries fleet as a Superintendent. Ensure reliability and safety through effective maintenance and engineering practices in this on-site role.
As the Maintenance & Engineering Superintendent, you will oversee daily fleet operations and work closely with Operations and Engineering teams. Your expertise will be essential in managing shore-based teams, coordinating unscheduled maintenance, and controlling engineering budgets effectively. Drive continuous improvement in reliability and compliance through hands-on leadership and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage vessel maintenance per company and regulatory standards
• Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and repairs across the fleet
• Prepare and control engineering and maintenance budgets
• Direct capital projects and vessel improvements
• Oversee drydock planning and execution
Requirements:
• Degree or apprenticeship as a Marine Engineer
• Five years supervisory experience in mechanical repair
• Strong technical skills to interpret specifications
• Knowledge of marine operation legislation
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train team members
