We are looking for an experienced Safety Assurance Engineer to lead crucial safety assurance and risk management activities for rail and transit projects. The successful candidate will develop strategies aligned with CENELEC standards while collaborating effectively with clients, regulators, and project teams. Technical expertise and strong communication skills are vital in ensuring safety across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead hazard identification and risk assessment activities
• Produce and review safety assurance documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Define safety requirements across railway system disciplines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for project success
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Eligibility for P.Eng designation in Canada
• 10+ years in rail safety assurance or RAMS engineering
• Familiarity with CENELEC standards and frameworks
• Proven leadership skills focused on quality and safety
