This position requires an independent and knowledgeable candidate to work 12-hour shifts responding to public inquiries and utilizing police databases. The Public Information Representative will manage clerical duties while exercising sound judgment and operating with minimal supervision. Effective communication with the public and adherence to established procedures is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide information and assistance to various contacts
• Process Police Information Checks and fingerprint services
• Operate police databases to retrieve and verify information
• Maintain records, files, and statistics accurately
• Assist with subpoenas and public inquiries effectively
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant training courses
• Strong computer operation and record-keeping skills
• Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada
• Proven ability to work independently and efficiently
• Security clearance required for the role
