Lead Health, Safety, and Environment Expert

Become the HSE Lead at Veolia North America’s Annacis Island facility, a role dedicated to maintaining safety in extreme operational conditions. Focus on the oversight of health and safety practices within a critical industrial setting.

This role is key to ensuring that extensive safety protocols are upheld throughout the facility’s operations, which focus on managing high-temperature and high-pressure processes. You will implement vital safety documentation, coordinate safety audits, and work in close collaboration with technical teams to identify hazards. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and developing emergency response strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop site-specific safety and emergency response protocols

• Monitor safety audits and identify operational risks

• Coordinate discussions with regulatory bodies on safety measures

• Oversee training for H2S monitors and PPE

• Prepare comprehensive safety documentation and manuals

Requirements:

• 10+ years of HSE experience in an industrial context

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field

• Certification from an accredited organization in health and safety

• Compliance with First Aid and other required safety training

• Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities
