Casual Occupational Therapist

In this role, you will provide occupational therapy to clients of all ages, particularly those with developmental disabilities. Collaborating with clients and families, you will develop and evaluate personalized care plans and address environmental barriers that affect accessibility. Your ability to advocate for clients in community settings will be critical for successful interventions and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess cognitive and physical aspects for functional independence
• Collaborate to formulate and implement treatment goals
• Educate clients and families on adaptive aids and skills
• Coordinate services with other healthcare providers
• Maintain compliance with patient records and legal standards
Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
• Two years’ experience in community or home health
• Valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of occupational therapy developments
