Play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents within a long-term care facility, focusing on compassionate service. Your housekeeping efforts will significantly impact the residents' quality of life.
This housekeeping position requires an individual with prior experience in health care settings who can work independently and compassionately. You'll be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and managing linens while ensuring all tasks comply with established safety protocols and WHMIS guidelines. Engaging with residents and showing respect in all interactions lifts the living experience in the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Disinfect and clean resident living spaces and shared areas
• Manage laundry processes while maintaining supplies
• Prepare cleaning solutions safely and efficiently
• Foster interactions with residents throughout your work
• Report any cleaning equipment issues to supervisors
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent experience
• Preferred background in a health care or long-term care environment
• WHMIS certification necessary
• Strong command of English for communication
• Capability to work autonomously with responsibility
