We have an opportunity for an innovative forward thinking full-time Engineer, Operations Technology, to support the digital transformation of our container terminal reporting to the Manager, Operations Technology. This role blends equipment connectivity, real time operational data and intuitive user interfaces to drive efficiency, reliability and performance across our terminal operations.
The successful candidate will focus on leveraging technology to optimize container handling, yard planning and equipment utilization while maintaining secure, high availability systems by working with IT, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Design, Deployment and Maintenance of Operations TechnologyImplement OT capital projects, including factory inspections and design reviewsWork with the Cyber Security Team to continuously evaluate cyber security risks within operations technology systems and implement scheduled updates and patching where applicable as well as other risk mitigation strategiesWork with Maintenance to improve tools and systems required to provide equipment reliability and predictability including investigation into emerging technologies such as AIPartner with IT to ensure secure, high availability infrastructure for hardware and operational systems including TOS interfaces to Equipment work order systems and adopt architectural best practices to mirror IT methodologies.Align design concepts and capital projects with Engineering and Facilities for new equipment including integration of data and sensors into SCADA and OT or Automation SystemsIntegrate systems for equipment connectivity to capture and analyze real time operational dataSupport Operations in enhancing terminal efficiency through data driven decision making and system and equipment automationProvide technical expertise and advanced troubleshooting where appropriate in OT and Automation SystemsContinuous improvement though self-learning and external training courses.Investigate and stay informed on emerging technologies, equipment automation, IIOT solutions, industry best practices and build long term roadmaps for commonality and synergy of equipment and systems to enhance terminal performanceRequirements
