Job Overview
We are hiring an Insurance Advisor or Senior Insurance Advisor at our Delta Service Location. Preference is given to qualified Senior Insurance Advisor candidates, but we welcome applications from Insurance Advisors who meet the minimum qualifications and are interested in advancing to a Senior role.
Key Responsibilities- Independently issue BCAA insurance products and services to current and new customers to meet their needs.
- Help customers secure and/or renew policies by reviewing current coverage and making recommendations.
- Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage.
- Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals and underwriting guidelines.
- Lead customer accounts and documentation, including processing payments and issuing new, renewal, endorsement and cancellation policies, memberships and additional products.
- Participate in BCAA’s training courses and maintain annual licensing requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest processes, products and service offerings in the insurance industry and pursue opportunities to become a team lead or people leader.
- At least 1–2 consecutive years of general insurance experience, including one year selling homeowners insurance (Senior Insurance Advisor).
- Level 1 (Insurance Advisor) or Level 2 (Senior Insurance Advisor) license.
- Completion of Autoplan Essentials.
- Good standing with the Insurance Council of BC, no history of Errors & Omissions.
- Comfortable using technology and basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Bonus: CAIB certification, experience using ICBC systems, and ability to speak languages other than English.
The salary range is $46,768.44 to $58,460.52 for a Level1 license and $51,453.60 to $64,317.00 for a Level2 license, determined through job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, the position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 21.5%.
