Job
Responsibilities Accurately entering customer purchase orders into the ERP system.
Validating orders against quotes (pricing, part numbers, quantities, addresses).
Issuing timely order acknowledgements and confirmations.
Coordinating with Production, Planning, and Shipping to ensure orders move through all stages to meet customer delivery timelines.
Maintaining accurate order status tracking, including backorder management.
Providing professional customer support by phone and email (lead times, backorders, shipping updates, tracking numbers).
Supporting resolution of order discrepancies, revisions, and special requests.
Preparing and releasing shipping documents as required.
Ensuring compliance with trade, export, and shipping requirements as applicable.
Maintaining high data accuracy and audit readiness within the ERP system.
Acting as the primary point of contact for order lifecycle communication.
Collaborating with Planning on material shortages, expedited orders, and customer priority cases.
Monitoring open orders daily and escalating risks to management when required.
Working with Shipping to coordinate outbound deliveries and logistics.
Supporting invoice accuracy by validating order data.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
3–5 years of customer service, order entry, or related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple customer interactions and competing priorities.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, GP, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general office software.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operations environment.
Strong collaborator with the ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.
Preferred experience in manufacturing, electronics, or hardware distribution.
Knowledge of export documentation and trade compliance.
Familiarity with inventory control or order fulfillment processes.
Previous experience supporting logistics or shipping operations.
