Component Mechanic; Position#: MMA-

Quality, efficiency and innovation are our strengths. You will be part of our dedicated team in Delta, BC as a Component Mechanic (Position#: MMA-24029).

• Carry out disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on aeronautical components/accessories, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel & oil and pneumatic components/accessories.
• Follow work plans from various sources, use test and measuring equipment, recognize and report defects on parts, assemblies, engines, and accessories.
• Certify correctness of work, perform preliminary inspections, raise and create repair documents, and order parts as needed.

• Must have a recognized apprenticeship to Transport Canada standards. International candidates must have a foreign aircraft mechanic/technician license or acceptable trade certificate.
• Minimum of one year of experience in engine or component maintenance, repair and overhaul processes.
• Experience with at least one engine type: CF6-50/80, V2500, CFM
  56, CFM LEAP, PW2000.
• Avionics/Electrical Harnesses experience is an asset. Balancing experience is an asset (compressor, shafts, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of standard inspection and repair processes used in engine repair; ability to provide technical advice to others.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software (Word, Excel, PDF formatting); SAP experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and in a team; strong interpersonal skills.
