Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, assemble, inspect and test aeronautical components and accessories, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, oil, and pneumatic systems.
  • Implement work plans by following instructions from various sources.
  • Use test and measuring equipment to conduct inspections.
  • Recognize and report defects on parts, assemblies, engines and accessories.
  • Certify the correctness of work and perform preliminary inspections.
  • Create and raise repair documents and order parts.
Qualifications
  • Recognized apprenticeship to Transport Canada standards; international candidates must have a foreign aircraft mechanic/technician licence or an acceptable trade certificate.
  • At least one year of experience in engine or component maintenance, repair and overhaul processes.
  • Experience with at least one of the following engine types: CF6‑50/80, V2500, CFM
    56, CFM LEAP, PW2000.
  • Experience with Avionics/Electrical Harnesses (asset).
  • Experience with Balancing (asset) of compressors, shafts, etc.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of main standard inspection and repair processes used in engine repair.
  • Ability to work on computer systems using standard Electronic Data Processing (EDP) software (Word, Excel, Access, PDF formatting); intermediate knowledge of SAP required.
  • Ability to provide technical advice to others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with other company personnel in a calm, positive manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
