Facility Maintenance Expert

Become a Facility Service Worker with the City of Delta, focusing on the maintenance and operations of community recreation and civic facilities. This full-time role encompasses diverse responsibilities including janitorial services and equipment upkeep across North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen.

In this position, you will ensure the effective functioning of HVAC, swimming pools, and refrigeration systems, while also coordinating contractors and supervising staff. Your hands-on experience in maintenance will be vital to maintaining optimal operational standards in public facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute maintenance and repairs on facility systems

• Conduct inspections and essential janitorial work

• Schedule and guide subordinate employees

• Provide training and guidance for staff

• Develop maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment

Requirements:

• Level II Pool Operator Certificate

• Refrigeration Operator Certificate or equivalent

• Fifth-Class Power Engineer Certification

• Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license

• Proven experience in facilities management and contractor oversight
