Join the City of Delta as a full-time Facility Service Worker, providing essential maintenance and operational support across recreation and civic facilities. Your expertise will ensure the smooth functioning of HVAC systems, swimming pools, and more.
This regular full-time role requires a dedicated candidate ready to perform building maintenance, janitorial services, and equipment inspections across North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. You will also supervise staff, coordinate contractors, and monitor compliance with safety standards. Experience in operating facilities and managing maintenance schedules is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct repairs on HVAC and plumbing systems
• Perform inspections of facilities and equipment
• Plan and supervise subordinate staff work
• Train new and existing employees
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules
Requirements:
• Pool Operator Certificate – Level II
• Refrigeration Operator Certificate or equivalent
• Fifth-Class Power Engineer Certificate
• Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s licence
• Experience in facility maintenance and operations
