City Building Service Workers Needed

The City of Delta is hiring Building Service Workers for auxiliary roles in North Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. Play a vital part in maintaining cleanliness and assisting the public in our community facilities.

As Building Service Workers, you will be responsible for essential janitorial tasks and customer service support. This role requires proficiency in cleaning techniques, restroom maintenance, and public interaction. Your efforts will contribute significantly to maintaining safe and clean public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash, wax, and polish various floor surfaces

• Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, and walls

• Replenish supplies in restrooms and clean sanitary fixtures

• Collect, sort, and dispose of rubbish and recyclables

• Answer public inquiries and ensure premises security

Requirements:

• Certification as a Building Service Worker

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence in British Columbia

• Experience with janitorial tools and techniques

• Ability to interact courteously with the public

• Capability to lift heavy objects and work self-sufficiently
