Building Service Worker

The City of Delta is looking for qualified Building Service Workers to fill in auxiliary roles at facilities in North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen.

Responsibilities

Vacuum, sweep, wash, wax and polish floors and related areas

Wash and clean windows, doors, shelves, walls, and surfaces

Wash hand basins, sinks and toilets and replenish washroom supplies

Collect and dispose of refuse and recycling

Ensure building security, answer inquiries and provide routing information and assistance to the public as required.

Qualifications

Building Service Worker Certificate

Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia

Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial work

Ability to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.

Ability to perform heavy lifting

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $28.97 - $33.92 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits. Interested applicants are requested to apply online by August 19, 2026.
