We are currently looking for a Sheet Metal Foreman to join our team!

- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers who shape, form and join metal parts or products to specified dimensions, machine metal into parts, products, tools and dies or molds with precise measurements and erect light and heavy metal products and structures
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments
- Requisition materials and supplies
- Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
- Train or arrange for training of workers
- Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed
- Prepare production and other reports
- May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, machine operators, helpers and laborers
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to show up to work on time everyday
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
- Must be willing to work varying shifts / OT as required. Shift premiums and overtime paid
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Leadership and training skills
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to take orders and instructions
- To be in good physical condition
- A mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift in excess of 25 kilograms
- Eye-hand coordination, spatial and form perception, good eyesight and manual dexterity
- Ability to interpret blue-prints, drawings, details and specifications
- Ability to stand for long periods, do some moderately heavy lifting and carrying, and work in high, and noisy places
- Patience, dependability and accuracy
- Team player with strong communication and personable skills
- Journeyperson Certificate/ Red Seal and applicable hours
- Commercial experience
- Journeyperson experience
- Minimum 5-years Foreman Experience
