On the night shift, does the repair and maintenance of the plant's equipment.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Answers service calls;
- Prioritizes tasks and repairs via Work Orders from Infor;
- Maintain and repair mixers, conveyors, and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems (bearings, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics)
- Assist with electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, VFDs)
- Basic PLC troubleshooting
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout
- Knows how to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical problems and finds solutions to solve and repair them;
- Knows the operation of electro-mechanical components;
- Takes charge of one or many projects and completes them with minimum supervision;
- Contributes to the improvement of the plant's equipment functioning;
- Works unsupervised on night shift
- Sees to the department’s good housekeeping practices and maintains his work areas in good condition;
- Computer literacy to work with CMMS;
- Organizes and maintains stock of spare parts and maintains record for inventory control;
- Any other related task.
- Registered Millwright Apprentice (any level)
- Must be available and reliable for graveyard / overnight shifts, including weekends as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial machinery
- Practical knowledge of rotating equipment (bearings, shafts, couplings, gearboxes, chain and belt drives)
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, starters, sensors, VFDs, limit switches)
- Working exposure to PLC-controlled equipment, including fault recognition and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Comfortable working in powder-processing environments and performing physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and industrial safety standards
- Able to work independently during night shifts while maintaining clear communication with operations
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
