Job Summary  Golden West Baking, part of CH Guenther & Sons, manufactures English muffins and bun products. The role operates within a department governed by HACCP regulations and WCB safety guidelines, rotating with Technicians #1, #2, #3, and #4 equally throughout the shift. The primary focus is ensuring customer satisfaction by performing final quality control checks and maintaining proper documentation throughout the packaging process.
Duties and Responsibilities    Technician #1 Duties (Culler Position):
Ensure muffins meet customer requirements prior to bagging.
Package properly, clear jams at forkers, conveyors, and air divider.
Assist Bagger Operator with bag and Quick Lock changes.
Report equipment problems and maintain cleanliness.
Adhere to GMPs, clean machinery, and work as a team.

Technician #2 & #3 Duties (Take‑Off Positions):
Ensure proper bagging and correct label printing.
Operate metal detector, fill log sheets, and assist with packaging.
Assist in clearing jams, preparing take‑off area, and palletizing.
Communicate shortages and maintain cleanliness.

Technician #4 Duties (Extra Position):
Assist bag changeovers, rebag all muffins, and stack onto skids.
Clean up area before the next product line and break down trays.
Assist in sweeping, cleaning machines, and operating UBE packaging machines.

Minimum

Job Requirements   High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
Physical strength to lift up to 25kg.
Willingness to work in warm conditions with exposure to dust, fumes, heat, humidity, and noise.
Comfort with mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
Use of personal protective equipment as provided.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort   Fast‑paced, high‑pressure production environment.
Exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical hazards, high temperatures, noise, dust, and fumes.
Regular lifting and physical activity required.
Safety and work attire provided by employer.
