Join the Village Farms team as an Associate in Sanitation, a key role in maintaining a hygienic production environment. This position involves essential routine cleaning and equipment handling.
As an Associate in Sanitation, you will be responsible for ensuring all production areas meet rigorous hygiene standards. Your daily tasks will involve cleaning surfaces and operating various cleaning equipment while adhering to health and safety protocols. This on-site role is crucial to keep our facility audit-ready and compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine cleaning of production areas effectively
• Operate tunnel, rack washers, and cleaning tools
• Restock PPE and cleaning supplies in the workspace
• Abide by safety and chemical handling guidelines
• Support compliance by maintaining detailed logs
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Experience in a cleaning or sanitation role is preferred
• Basic knowledge of sanitation protocols and chemical safety
• Ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand for long periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours and on weekends
