Forklift​/Labourer

JOB DESCRIPTION  The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at the Company are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list.
Collects and delivers raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
Rotates stock, loads and unloads skids and bands material before moving product.
Identifies material to ensure that correct material is supplied.
Moves and stores materials and keep assigned areas supplied with material.
Works from schedules, production orders and instructions.
Clears and moves scrap.
Assists in other departments and works on the lines as necessary.
Maintains fork lift truck by placing on charge and notifying supervision when truck is not operating properly.
Completes daily fork safety inspection.
Completes cycle counts as required.
Maintains material storage areas as required.
Ensures all material is properly labeled prior to transport.
Must attain a good understanding of HFI and mill claim processes.
Follow all safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements   At least three to five years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities   Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Exposure/experience to manufacturing.
Forklift Certified.
Understands quality, PPE requirements and safety and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures.

The position is associated with pushing, pulling, climbing, handling, reaching, stretching, and working in tight and high places.
