We are looking for Relief Mixer (AM/PM).
Responsibilities & Duties- Follow production guidelines specification sheets, task sheets, and recipes to produce high-quality cakes and desserts
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed for all recipe formulations and department specifications
- Set-up and preparation and cleanliness of the mixing area
- Uphold our BRC (British Retail Consortium) commitments to ensure the food safety and quality
- Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
- Supply production team with batch output requirements on a timely, as needed basis.
- Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency, and productivity targets.
- Ensure all paperwork is kept in order, completed properly, and submitted on time.
- Maintain the highest quality & safety standards, adhering to all GMPs, Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure the area is always kept clean and tidy, to prevent potential contamination and/or injury.
- Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.
- Working AM / PM shift (AM Shift: start times will vary daily between 12 am - 11:45 am)(PM Shift: start times will vary daily between 11:45am - 12am)
- Experience in food manufacturing is an asset
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Be able to work quickly, under pressure, and have a sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills
- Physically fit - the ability to lift and push heavy items (20-50 lbs)
- Understanding of weights & measures
- Ability to work 10.5 hour shifts
- Could work independently and with minimal direction
This position works in production when not working in mixing.
- Shifts are scheduled Monday through Saturday and 10.5 hours in length
- Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance
- AM shift (start times will vary every day between 12am - 10:45 am)
- PM Shift (start times will vary every day between 11 am - 11:45 pm)
- Example:
- (For a PM shift if we schedule you at 2:15 PM your shift will end at 12:45 AM)
- (For an AM shift if we schedule you at 4:00 AM your shift will end at 2:30 AM)
- Great wages!
Starting at $23.55/hr. for Mixing and $ 21.67/hr. for Production - Uniforms and safety shoes vouchers are provided
- An extended health care package including dental will be applicable after the successful completion of your probationary period.
- Employer contribution to Union pension plan.
- Night Premium is $1.50/hr. (Shifts that are starting between 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
