The City of Delta is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Parks Operations team, serving the three communities of Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. If you have a passion for horticulture and/or arboriculture, we offer exciting opportunities and challenges in a dynamic work environment.

• Safely operate the watering truck.
• Water garden beds, hanging baskets and city trees.
• Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Assist in the maintenance of landscaped and horticultural areas when necessary.
• Communicate professionally, tactfully, and diplomatically with the public.

The position demands good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Work is flexible shifts and requires a willingness to work early mornings (starting at 4:00 am) and weekends.

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record, familiarity with driving pickup trucks or larger vehicles, and towing experience is an asset.
• Current Driver’s Abstract showing five years of driving history.
• Preference for candidates with training or courses related to horticulture or arboriculture.

Salary ranges from $30.41 to $32.93 (2024 Rate). Temporary full‑time employees become eligible for extended health, dental, and life insurance coverage after six months of continuous employment.
