Attentive Horticultural Services based in Delta, BC is inviting applications for the position of Landscaper. This is a permanent, full-time role with start as soon as possible. Working hours are 07:30 a.m. to 16:00 p.m.

• Survey and evaluate designated sites.
• Water and maintain plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• Assess the health of lawns.
• Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other purposes.
• Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
• Plant and move trees.
• Remove trees as required.

• Fluent in English.
• Secondary (high school) diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• Horticulturist Trade Certification, Landscape Gardener Trade Certification, and Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification.
• Effective interpersonal and excellent oral communication skills.
• Reliable and a good team player.
• Punctual and able to work in a noisy outdoor environment.
• Willing to work long hours in various weather conditions.

• Work in the employer’s/client’s home and various locations.
• Operate as a landscape contractor in residential, private, corporate, or industrial settings.

• Experience on residential projects, parks and recreation areas, restoration and preservation projects, and sports fields.
• Skilled in constructing fieldstone paths and rock gardens.

• Knowledgeable about plant identification and horticulture.

• Driving record checked (abstract).

• Valid driver’s licence.

• Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
• Physically demanding tasks; ability to handle heavy loads.
• Willing to work long hours in sitting, standing, and walking positions; standing for extended periods; and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
