OpportunityQuality Control Inspector with Aecon Energy Solutions Inc. (AESI) to help deliver gas meter installations safely and to specification. The Inspector reports to the Deployment Manager and is responsible for all quality functions related to installations within the project.
What You’ll Do Here- Conduct inspections of gas meter installations to verify compliance with company policies and client specifications.
- Review installation documentation to ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Identify and document discrepancies or deviations from established protocols during inspections.
- Communicate effectively with installation teams to address issues and provide guidance on compliance.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement quality assurance initiatives to improve installation practices.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and safety standards related to gas meter installations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality control or a related field preferred; mechanical engineering background.
- Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in the utility or gas industry.
- Strong understanding of gas meter installation processes and relevant regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with various teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software.
The expected hourly rate is $22-$32/hour.
