Butcher ​/ Meat Cutter - Daytime Hours – Premium Grocer

This is a hands-on role where your skill, speed, and attention to detail matter every day, with stable daytime hours and a better work-life balance.

What You’ll Do

• Cut, trim, and prepare a full range of meat products for display and custom orders
• Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meat and poultry items.
• Grind, slice, and prepare value-added products with power grinders and slicing machines
• Prepare attractive, well-stocked meat displays
• Manage inventory, record of sales, and product lines
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and inventory levels
• Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards
• Support daily operations and assist with team coordination when needed
• May supervise other team members

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on meat cutting / butchery experience
• Strong knife skills and understanding of different cuts of meat
• Experience in a retail butcher shop or professional kitchen
• Reliable, efficient, and able to work independently
• Good communication skills and customer-focused mindset
• Availability for daytime shifts on weekdays and weekends (no late-night service)

Preferred (but not required):

• Formal training, apprenticeship, or Red Seal certification
