Job Description

We are currently seeking a Member Advisor – Mobile to join our team. The role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to existing and potential members by completing member transactions, offering financial solutions, and referring members to an appropriate advisor. As this is a mobile position, travel to multiple branches within the region will be required depending on coverage needs.

  • Member Service:
    Provide exceptional customer service, offer advice and support to members, and process cash‑related transactions such as opening accounts, deposits, withdrawals, and utility payments. Assist members with completing forms, term deposits, and applications for credit/debit cards.
  • Branch Goals:
    Support the achievement of annual branch goals by promoting First West products and services, participating in branch campaigns, and actively seeking referral opportunities during interactions with members. Identify member life stages and cross‑sell or refer to an appropriate branch advisor. Meet established individual sales and referral targets.
  • Branch Support:
    Perform administrative duties including balancing the treasury, daily ATM maintenance and troubleshooting, and preparing and distributing cash orders.
  • Additional Duties:
    Depending on the region and/or branch, provide administrative support to branch advisors, make outgoing calls to members, complete compliance and audit activities, and complete end‑to‑end processes related to ATM and night deposits.
  • Other Duties:
    Use the Day in the Life guide to prioritize and manage schedules, aligning efforts with goal achievement while delivering a remarkable, consistent member experience across First West.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Completion of FW Sales Essentials Course within 6 months of hire required
  • Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe
  • College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) preferred
  • 2 years of retail/customer service experience or equivalent required
  • Sales and cash handling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services to members
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with current and potential members
  • Positive attitude, flexibility to change, and ability to work in a busy environment
  • Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by adhering to policies and procedures
