Integrated Child & Youth Counsellor Position

Delta School District, serving 16,000 students and 3,000 staff, is seeking an Integrated Child and Youth Clinical Counsellor. This role involves providing therapeutic counselling to youth and managing Youth Peer Support Workers. You'll collaborate with school staff to advocate for children and youth, ensuring effective early intervention and prevention strategies are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic counselling for children, youth, and families

• Oversee recruitment and training for Youth Peer Support Workers

• Liaise between school staff and ICY teams

• Lead workshops for families and community agencies

• Facilitate multidisciplinary decision-making processes

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field with practicum experience

• Registered Clinical Counsellor or Social Worker

• 3-5 years clinical counselling experience

• Recent training in mental health and crisis intervention

• Strong communication skills with diverse populations
