New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and integration of enterprise application solutions. This role will contribute to the development of scalable and modern software systems, including application architecture, user interface prototyping, system integrations, and component implementation. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative Agile environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring team members, and contributing to a respectful, innovation-driven engineering culture.
Responsibilities- Build, support and enhance business critical applications, ensuring reliable and secure operation across environments.
- Troubleshoot incidents with discipline and ownership, restoring service swiftly and preventing recurrence.
- Implement technology upgrades that improve stability, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to application modernization initiatives, including migration to modern frameworks, cloud native patterns, and improved engineering standards.
- Collaborate with AI agents, including Git Hub Copilot and other intelligent assistants, to accelerate research, documentation, prototyping, and modernization activities.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and engineering communities of practice.
- 3+ years of work experience as a software developer.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (boards, pipelines, repositories, artefacts).
- Experience with Visual Studio and the Microsoft development ecosystem.
- Experience with Angular application development.
- Experience with C# and the .NET platform application and backend development.
- Experience with modern source control workflows using Git.
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Working experience with Git Hub Copilot or other AI assisted development tools.
- A keen interest in collaborating with AI agents to accelerate modernization, documentation, and innovation.
