Clean Harbors is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join their safety conscious team in Delta, BC. This is a unionized position. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractor‑trailer units for the safe transportation of hazardous waste from client sites to the designated Clean Harbors facility.
Route ScheduleSpecifically handling waste pick‑up servicing our clients in the Lower Mainland & province wide. The individual will also handle routes out of province – such as transporting waste to our Ryley Alberta landfill, that may require 3 or more days on the road.

- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Perform drum pick‑ups from customer sites operating tractor trailers.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non‑hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded).
- Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of company equipment.
- Maintain daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Properly placard vehicle to meet all requirements/regulations.
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license required.
- Comfortable with City, Regional/Provincial and long‑distance driving to Alberta.
- Manual transmission driving experience.
- 2+ years of previous operating experience of tractor‑trailers.
- Ability to physically load and unload drums and other materials.
- Forklift certified highly preferred.
- Previous experience with manual transmission, 18‑speed required.
- Live within close commuting distance to our Delta facility to pick/drop off the truck.
