Overview
This role involves driving as part of a two‑person team or convoy, loading and unloading goods, managing permits for international routes, operating straight or articulated trucks, maintaining vehicle condition, performing inspections, roadside repairs, and reporting activity to dispatch.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Drive as part of a two‑person team or convoy
Load and unload goods
Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform brake adjustments
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre‑trip, en route and post‑trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Qualifications
Driver’s License (Class 1 or
A)
Valid driver’s licence
Working Conditions
Physical location; no remote work
Flexible hours, permanent full‑time employment, 50 hours per week
Starts as soon as possible
Travel Requirements
Willing to travel cross‑border
Willing to travel for extended periods
Willing to travel overnight
