Job Requirements/Details

• Number of positions: 4 (Full‑time / Permanent)
• Salary: $36.60 per hour for 40–50 hours per week
• Education:
  
  Minimum High School diploma
• Credentials:
  Driver's License BC Class 1 or equivalent
• Security and Safety:
  Valid passport, Driver’s license verification, drug test
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience an asset; on‑job training provided
• Languages:
  
  Read, write and speak English
• Type of trucking and equipment:
  Tractor‑tanker
• Type of travel:
  Long haul, Canada‑wide and U.S. destinations
• Specific skill:
  Able to drive in a 2‑person team
• Documentation knowledge:
  Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection reports (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

The driver must drive a tractor‑tanker to transport goods and materials, load and unload goods, plan travel schedules and routes, oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, perform preventative maintenance, and communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers. Willingness to travel for extended periods is required.
