Work Hours: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, 7: AM – 3: PM

Perform duties to prepare railcars for shipment such as: opening and closing railcar doors, setting bridge plates, blowing trash out of railcars, chocking vehicles, chock replacement.Load and unload vehicles onto railcars in compliance with company quality standards.Ensure vehicles are spotted according to customer standards within the rail car.Ensure vehicles are properly spaced within the rail and secure vehicles according to customer standards onto outbound railcars.May be required to perform repairs or maintenance on safety equipment and rail cars.Perform maintenance on buck loader/ramps: including but not limited to lubing the railcars, graphite door tracks, and other moving mechanical parts, etc.Perform monthly inspections on bridge plates and paint bridge plates as needed.Perform other tasks necessary to maintain the rail yard, such as, picking-up trash, and broken chocks. etc.Job RequirementsThis Role is a Great Fit If You Have
Minimum Grade educationHave a valid BC Class 5 (Not L/N) driver's license (a MUST) and a good driving record which can be obtained from ICBC.Be able to proficiently drive vehicles with manual AND automatic transmissions.Physical requirements
: frequent walking, bending, reaching, crouching, balancing, and climbing ladders (at heights of feet), pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to lbs.); also requires periods in confined spaces with low light.Be able to work both Sun to Thur AND Tue and Sat shiftsWork primarily outdoors in all types of weatherAble to meet production goals, commitment to quality and safe work practicesAble to listen, comprehend and take direction wellAble to work both independently and as part of a teamPositive, "can-do" attitude and strong communication skillsDependable and punctual – excellent references requiredReady to Apply?
