- Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Experience:
No experience (will train) Tasks - Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
- Process bills of lading, cargo manifests or other documents
- Plan for required documentation and for pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations etc.)
- Follow emergency and safety procedures
- Communicate with passengers, dispatchers or other drivers using two-way radio systems Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Driver's License (Class 1 or
